PARTICIPATION FEE REFUND POLICY AND CONDITIONS
Participation fee refunds for cut/drop will be approved by the Athletic Director. The Athletic Director will submit a request to the Aspen High School Accounting Department from which to process the refund. If the participation fee(s) were previously waived due to exceeding the family maximum participation fees already met or free/reduced lunch eligibility. There may be no refund or particial refund payment amount due. Student-athletes will be eligible for a full or partical refund of participation fee due to cut/drop only under the following conditions:
Refund amount:
1. Student-athlete is cut from the squad by the coach: 100%
2. Student-athlete leaves the squad:
- First day through fifth day of practice: 100%
- If a student-athlete leaves the team after the 5th calendar day from the start of the sports season, no refund will be given. The participation fee refund or cancellation must be requested by the student-athlete via email on or before the closing date of the season that his/her sport was offered in.
- Refund or cancellation will be pending head coach's verification
3. Student-athlete sustains a serious injury or contracts a serious illness which will eliminate him/her or the entire season (A physician's diagnosis is required):
- First day of practice to the day of the first sanctioned, competitive contest: 50%
- After the first sanctioned, competitice contest: NONE
4. Student-athlete transfers out:
- First day of practice to the day of the first sanctioned, competititve contest: 50%
- After the fiurst sanctioned, competitive contest: NONE
5. Student-athlete is dropped for disciplinary reason (No exceptions): NONE
TEAM GEAR
Once the Team Gear (i.e., hoodie, t-shirt, shorts and the likes), are distributed to the student-athletes/team. They are not eligible for return or refund as the apparels are all items that everyone wears while they are competing and/or practicing. Team Gear fee will be imposed to the student-athletes' account.
